As a homeschool parent, I have apparently collected a large assortment of science books at my house about poop. We can identify it on the trail, and we know that everybody poops. I recently had the opportunity to read Is It Poop? A Guessing Game With Poop and Things That Look Like Poop by Kizzi Roberts, M.S. Animal Science. It was so much fun.
First, the book is more of a game which my kids found to be quite fantastic. It has a picture of “poop” and you have to decide whether it is poop or something that just looks like it. Which my kids thought was the best game ever.
Second, it has really interesting facts like why animals would benefit from looking like poop. It used real terminology and photos to explain these concepts to kids.
Overall, I think it’s a really wonderful book you can find on Amazon. While I didn’t receive compensation for this review, I did receive ARC access to read it with my kids for their honest opinion.
Honestly, they’re still in the other room saying poop, poop, poop while laughing. I’d say it was a really big success.
